“My story is quite a special one. I grew up seeing the many sponsorship cards of children my father sponsors on our fridge. When I was 20, my father and I participated in a travel program that World Vision offers called Destination Life Change. The trip was to Los Manantiales, El Salvador. Our purpose was to see the work World Vision did in these communities firsthand, and to help build a home for a family. My father already had sponsored a child in that community for many years. I also decided to sponsor one in the area we were visiting. My aunt sponsored my child’s cousin.

I was so fortunate to have been able to meet these children and build a bond with them. Words cannot describe how fortunate I feel to have been given the opportunity to participate in such a fantastic program and to be part of such a great organization. World Vision allowed me to experience something so rare and beautiful. I am forever grateful to them.”
